I’m married to a man (Tim) who actually puts up with all my crazy ideas … a man who keeps me grounded. We have two children (son Nathan, and daughter, Evelyn). For someone who swore in my younger days that I’d never have children, I am regularly astounded by my capacity for love and humbled by the blessings these two bring to my life.
I enjoy outdoor activities of all kinds (downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, water skiing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, etc). I’ve been a “biker chick” since I was 16 and it is my greatest (and cheapest!) escape.
While my hubby prefers his 1969 GTO Judge, I would take to the skies if I could. I obtained my helicopter pilot license in 2001 and it remains my “first flying love” (a helicopter plays a part in Last Chance Rescue).
I spend a good deal of my time (especially in spring and summer) managing the motorcycle accessories business we own, Leader Motorcycle Accessories (read more at LeaderMotorcycle.com). I feel extraordinarily blessed to be doing something I love!
The creative side of me demands that I have an outlet. Often, that is writing. My writing draws extensively from my experience as an Army Reserve paramedic. But sometimes, it’s music or something more physical: taiko drumming.
